Infrastructure
Established in the year 2004 on the belief that parents and teachers play a vital role in the formative years of the child, Indraprastha Public School has come a long way in its journey towards excellence. It has classes from Nursery to XII functioning in it. Spacious school building, play grounds and the well stocked libraries are the most important aspect of school infrastructure.
AV Hall
Audio-visual hall is available for students for debates, lectures, discussions, seminars, group classes etc. The hall is equipped for 120 people, and is also smart-class enabled with a computer, projector, interactive board, mics and speakers.
Libraries
Libraries support learning within the pedagogic goals of the school. We have vast collection of books for students to read and develop a passion for reading, also inculcating in them the critical literacy. The school library is very well stocked with more than 2000 books – fiction, non-fiction, autobiographies, biographies, subject-related encyclopedias, etc. Students spend quality time undertaking reference work, selecting their favourite author, browsing through new titles and updating themselves through a host of journals and magazines covering commerce, finance, science, general knowledge, politics, nature, art, sports and entertainment.
Laboratories
Science Labs: The Investigative Research Centers
Our state of the art labs (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) are suitably furnished and equipped with the relevant equipment, apparatus, computer, whiteboard and projector. Safety of children being of paramount importance, Chemistry lab is specially equipped with hand showers at each desk and a common shower to combat acid/chemical burns in case of exigency.
Security Features
- Fire Safety Equipment like fire extinguishers are fixed at appropriate places in all buildings.
- To assess the educational needs of differently abled children we have ramps throughout the campus.
- CCTV cameras are fixed at strategic locations all across the buildings to monitor movement of visitors, staff and students.
- A reverse-osmosis (RO) water plant is installed to ensure pure and safe drinking water for our students and staff members.
- Safety in School Buses is the utmost priority of the school: All the buses have a first aid kit to attend to any medical needs. All the buses are CCTV enabled and are fitted with GPS device which helps the school keep track of the routes and communicate with the bus at all times.
Sports
Sports and games are an integral part of our curriculum where students participate and excel in a range of activities. Qualified coaches impart intensive and exclusive training to our children in various extensive sporting activities. Team games have significantly benefited the children in being self-confident, pro-active, energetic and chasing their dream of winning and participating in healthy competition. Moreover, leadership, responsibility, discipline, confidence, loyalty and team spirit are largely instilled through participation in sports.
